Rolling Over
When Daniel was about 2 months old, he figured out how to roll from tummy to back. We were absolutely thrilled to see him master that skill. I must stress that he knows how to do that. Go back a few days when I flipped on the monitor to discover that Daniel had rolled from back to tummy!! Yay Daniel!!! He's continuing to do that in his bed, but the little booger will not roll over for me when we play on a blanket during the day. The milestone is wonderful and all, but there is a catch. Daniel is not a huge fan of being on his tummy. He does well for a while but then gets very annoyed. Excpet for the little goon will not roll the other way!!! So now when he goes to nap, he inevitably will roll over and get all worked up about being on his tummy which as we all know is not condusive for going to sleep. Thus, I have to go back in and flip him over so he will sleep. He will get it all worked out eventually I know, but the rolling over wakes him up in the mid-morning when it's not quite time to wake up. This morning at about 6am he did his classic flip and woke up. Would he go back to sleep, of course not, because he kept rolling over!!!! Of course the early waking hour would not be as difficult if his mommy had not stayed up to watch the Oscars... Nevertheless, he will figure it out and I'm very sure will enjoy the new found movement to be a blessing when sleeping.

Finally Updated
It was pointed out to me by my friend Stacy Jessee that the last time I posted on my blog was when I was pregnant. Since that is no longer the case, I thought it would be a great time to update the good 'ole blog...
Daniel was born on September 28, 2011. I went intot he hospital to be induced on the 27th, but Daniel's stubborn momma refused to believe that he was going to be as big as her doctors predicted. Thus, after many hours of induction labor with an epidural, I finally came to the realization that a c-section was going to be the only way my Daniel would come out to meet the world. And that he did at 2:40am on September 28th. My mom was there to see him make his first journey through the maternity ward to the nursery. My stay in the hospital was a couple of days long before I went home. I should mention that he was 10 pounds, 21.75 inches long with a 38 cm head. Yea, he wasn't coming out the conventional way. Daniel's Aunt Erin suprised us and visited all three of us at the hospital.
Now, I can't remember everything that happened in the few weeks after Daniel was born as I was sleep deprived. However, Michael, Manga, and I slowly adapted to this wonderful creature who came into our lives without a manual. Uncle Joey and Aunt Julia came a few weeks after Daniel was born to see us in our habitat! Our first big adventure was to drive to Knoxville for Thanksgiving in our Chevy Mailbu with Manga too! The 8 hour drive took us 10 hours and left us exhausted. We made it through and Daniel just charmed everyone. In December, Michael's parent came from the UAE to see their grandson for the first time and to spend the holiday season with us. In addition, we baptized Daniel in January into the Catholic faith.
I am well aware that my summary is nowhere near as complete as it should be, but if anyone is curious for more details go check out my facebook page because I have been a nut with postings and pictures. Now that Daniel takes more routine naps, I will hopefully keep the blog a bit more updated with his events. I get to brag for just a second that my almost 5 month old sleep for 12 hours at night and has just started to eat solid foods.
